Debut of 'TROPICABANA! A Musical Romp through the Tropics' with Dana Land & Her Cabana Boys!

My co-producer, Jeff, and I have been cooking up this idea for some time; a musical show that would be upbeat & entertaining complete with a tropical feel and would appeal to a wide range of ages and musical tastes. "TROPICABANA! A Musical Romp through the Tropics - with Dana Land & The Cabana Boys' was born! We debuted our show to a sold-out crowd at Hawaii Public Radio's Atherton Theatre on Saturday, January 25th, 2014.

Culling tunes from different tropical locals including Cuba, Brazil, Jamaica and Hawaii, we perform tunes made famous by Harry Belafonte, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Dean Martin, Carmen Miranda, Henry Mancini and Frank Sinatra to name a few.

'The Cabana Boys' are some of the best jazz musicians on the island; pianist & musical director~Tommy James, guitarist~Steve Martinucci, bassist~John Kolivas, drummer~Von Baron and reedman~Tim Tsukiyama with some of the arrangements written by Tommy James, pianist & musical director for the world-renown Duke Ellington Orchestra.

We look forward to enhancing the music scene, corporate events, concerts and private parties with 'TROPICABANA!
